 Aspects of a Man by Mental Milestone out
on the 26th of January 2012
After quite a long process of writing and recording music Mental Milestone is releasing their first project - Aspects of a man.
On the 26th of January 2012 the music will be available on iTunes, Spotify, 24-7 network - with among others TDC Play - Nokia, Wimp - just to mention some of them.
You will find 20 tracks with almost 80 minutes of music on the album. It is a concept album with a wide variety of music, ranging from beautiful ballads to challenging instrumental passages and hard-hitting tracks - all to substantiate the story of a turbulent time in a quite ordinary man's life - a time in which his whole world is turned upside down. It is also a commentary on the life and the world we live in today.
 Aspects of a Man is about a man who is hit by doubts and discouragement about the life he lives. After a serious car accident he is put in hospital in critical condition. He is out on the brink - closer to death than to life. He knows he will have to fight hard to come back to life, but he is unsure whether life will be better than death. His brain compels him to relate to his life and the world. It is in many ways a peace full situation until the Grim Reaper comes to take him.
We will not reveal what happens then, but the story offers thoughts and feelings about life and the world we live in - how we try to find our way. It is joy, sadness, anger, betrayal, disillusionment and hope.
Our own gear
We have recorded the music in our own studio, and all the devices used are our own. Though we have invested quite a lot of money in them, it is not a million dollar studio, but somehow it is much closer to what music is about. Here we have spent a lot of time working on getting the right feeling of the music and making our own sound. And generally we think the sound is rather good.
